Community Guidelines
How we keep SocialMix safe, welcoming, and trusted for all Zimbabweans.
1. Be Honest in Listings (Marketplace)
Only list genuine goods and services with accurate prices and real photos. No deceptive rental listings, counterfeit products, or predatory loan schemes. Fraudulent listings will lead to an immediate ban.
2. Respect Privacy (Don't Share Others' Data)
Never post another person's private contact details, location, phone numbers, or private chat screenshots without their explicit consent. What happens in private chats stays private.
3. No Spam in Chatrooms or Groups
Do not flood public chatrooms, student channels, or group discussions with repeated promotions, chain messages, or unverified rumors. Keep discussions relevant and respectful.
4. Report, Don't Retaliate
If you encounter harassment, hate speech, or suspicious sellers, use the in-app report button immediately or email our safety team. Do not escalate or retaliate publicly.
5. Survival Mode is Experimental
Survival Mode is a peer-to-peer Bluetooth mesh designed to keep communities connected during outages and data cutoffs. It relies on nearby phones and must never be relied upon as a replacement for emergency services.
